All About Ms. Malone!
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending various SBMS and SBHS school events, Wednesday night Bible Study, or working on projects around my house. My hobbies include gardening, decorating, reading, exercising, and being outdoors! I have five children, two son-in-laws, three grandchildren, and a four-legged member of the family - Cody, our 12-year-old golden retriever. Life is good! At SBHS: Professional Development Committee (PDC) Member; Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS) Team Member; Site Council and Wellness Team Member PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
My educational story begins in northwest Oklahoma where I grew up on a small farm and ranch outside of Laverne, OK. I graduated from Laverne High School and am grateful for those smalltown roots. I earned my degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Business Administration. After working in the banking industry and then staying home several years to raise my family, I decided to go back to school and earn my Secondary Education certification. I was able to do this by attending Fort Hays State University, where I also earned my Master’s in Education. Degrees and Certifications: Business Administration – Northwestern Oklahoma State University Comprehensive Professional Teaching Certification– Fort Hays State University 6-12 Business, 5-8 Science Certification Masters of Science in Education – Fort Hays State University Professional Development: As the world of technology constantly changes, so does the curriculum in technology classes. I have been fortunate enough to attend the Kansas Business Education Association (KBEA) conference several years, as well as the Mid-America Association for Computers in Education (MACE) conference. |
